February WEAll Talk – “The Threads That Hold Us: Weaving as an Act of Resistance to Fragmentation”
February 25 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am EST

As the Great Unraveling looms over us, the ancient art of weaving stands as a liberatory metaphor, a poetic practice, and a revolutionary gesture of radical interbeing and solidarity. Through weaving, we mend the torn threads of relationship, strengthening the fabric that binds us to place, each other, and the wider community of life. Through weaving, we unify movements fragmented by silos and reclaim life-sustaining ways of inhabiting the Earth together. Through weaving, we plant seeds of new socio-economic imaginaries and cultivate the mycelium that connects and nourishes emergent possibilities. Through weaving, we remember the impossibility of our separateness. Through weaving, we affirm our faith in the inevitability of our coming together. The practice of weaving – whether of cosmovisions, shared meaning, relationships, networks, movements, or possibilities – serves as a pathway to birthing the more beautiful economies our hearts know are possible: economies held by care, solidarity, and kinship, and committed to the flourishing of the full round of life. As old myths of separation and competition unravel, we are called to embrace the new story that is already being woven – through us, with us, as us.
