Power Dynamics: Get un-stuck between powerless and powerful
May 28 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am EDT

Most of us working in social change have a complicated relationship with power. We feel its absence: in teams where decisions happen around us, in systems that seem immune to influence. And we’re often reluctant to step fully into our own power, because we’ve seen what harm looks like when power goes unexamined.
That ambivalence keeps us stuck. But there’s another way through. Not by resolving the tension, but by finding solid enough ground to hold it. Power that’s rooted rather than reactive. Influence that doesn’t require you to lose yourself to use it.
In this free 90-minute online workshop on May 28, we’ll draw on what we’ve learned from supporting change-driven organizations, coaching leaders, and our own practice, to create a space for looking honestly at your relationship to power and finding a more grounded way forward.
Together, you will:
- Explore the power dynamics already at play in your teams and collaborations
- Name the patterns that keep you oscillating between powerlessness and avoidance
- Develop a clearer sense of your personal agency and where it actually sits
- Practice with concrete tools for power-aware, healthy collaboration
Who is this for? Team leads, systems change practitioners, network weavers, and funding organizations who sense that stepping fully into their power, while empowering others, is the next edge of their work.
This is exactly the kind of grounded confidence the work asks of us… and this workshop is a place to start building it.
