Every moment is a call to plant, tend, and grow the seeds of a future we long for. As capacity-builders partnering with leaders, organizations, networks, and funders working for a world of interdependent, thriving communities, we created the Prefiguring Futures Lab—a creative, cross-movement learning space for those leading, dreaming, and practicing liberation. Designed to cultivate our individual and collective being (power within and power with) that can do the doing of blocking, building, and believing together, the Lab nourishes relationships, cross-pollinates visions, weaves infrastructure, and enables effective strategies for the now and the next now.
Change Elemental is thrilled to share a collection that brings a bit of the Lab to you, lovingly called “Tools & Tinctures.” While tools are necessary, they alone will not achieve what we want—we must bring our being to their use, learning, healing, and practice with the many kinds of wisdom within and around us to embody the future we seek. The poems, companion frameworks, praxes, artwork, and blessings within are tinctures to nourish this embodiment. Together, they can support planting and tending the seeds of the future while living it as much as possible today.
