Dialogue on Convening Systems: What does it take? What does it look like on the ground?
March 30 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

This is intended to be an exploratory, emergent dialogue in a fishbowl style (see link below). We’ll invite a few guests who are experienced with convening systems on the ground to be in the inner circle of the fishbowl. They will share their experiences and explore what we know and don’t know together. The 1-hour fishbowl dialogue will be recorded for public sharing purposes. We’ll stop recording after the fishbowl dialogue and have space for interactions among the guests and all the other participants. The second hour will not be recorded to protect privacy of participants.
Central inquiry for the dialogue:
Convening Systems: What does it take? What does it look like on the ground?
Context:
It’s important that organizational or community leaders develop capacities to convene others and lead their system to integrate different perspectives. What does system convening look like at a high level? What are people’s experiences of convening a system on the ground?
Vibe and intention:
To be in a dialogue to learn with other fellow humans as opposed to convince/sell/pitch to others our own views/offerings
To bravely explore anywhere that feels alive without being constrained by our egos, limiting beliefs, or need for conformity or popularity;
To practice embodying our values rather than professing them.
