Two Spirit perspectives remain significantly under-represented in community research. Addressing this gap is essential to building research practices that are more inclusive, relational, and accountable to community.
Join KD (Keith) King (he/they), Public Health Nurse and Researcher, and Rochelle Ignacio (she/her), Director of Equity, Anti-Racism and Reconciliation at Tamarack Institute, on September 2 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET for a free webinar exploring community-based research approaches grounded in Two Spirit leadership and resurgence.
Together, they’ll explore:
• The historical and contemporary forces that have excluded Two Spirit voices from research
• The contributions of Two Spirit leaders to research and resurgence movements
• How Western research paradigms marginalize Indigenous gender and sexual diversity
• Opportunities to strengthen inclusive and decolonial research methodologies
