Developing your collaboration impact story
July 16 @ 1:00 am – 3:30 pm
Stories have always been central to how humans make sense of the world, and they are essential in the work of community change because they are an engaging and effective way of helping people to understanding the complexities on an issue. Because stories engage both our rational mind and our emotions, they are easier to remember and help us to make sense out of patterns.
Stories fuel collaborative action because they build empathy, foster shared understanding, inspire a sense of what is possible and, can communicate a compelling case for change. Telling your collaboration’s impact story in a powerful way contributes to the long-term sustainability of your shared work.
Earlier this year, Tamarack developed Developing your Collaboration Impact Story tool. It builds upon four key elements of successful collaborations – people, process, resources, and impact – outlined in 10: A Guide to Build a Sustainable and Resilient Collaboration which was released last year.
Join Liz Weaver and Sylvia Cheuy for this virtual ½-day workshop that will guide you and fellow changemakers in crafting your collaboration’s own impact story.
