Network Engagement: Fito Show & Tell!
February 6 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am
Engaging your community or network can be a challenging task.
People pop in and out when it suits them. The network asks for many different things, all at the same time. Some people show up for “connections”; others want only “action”. Everyone is busy, and there is no real way to ensure people actually commit to what they say they will.
That’s why network engagement is usually cited as one of the top challenges network weavers face.
Learning from 100’s of networks
The Fito Network has the unique pleasure of both running a network – and interacting with thousands of others who do.
Through these interactions we are constantly learning about what works, and what to avoid. We then pilot our own models, stumbling and failing along the way, to find the “secret sauce” that we think works best at our own moment in time.
When we feel we’re ready, we then share out what we’ve learned, with the hopes that it can inspire and enrich others.
A Network Engagement “Show and Tell”
Explore a world of real-world solutions and transformative tools unveiled before your very eyes!
Just like when in the classroom we proudly shared our favorite toy, Fito shares best practices that top network leaders and thinkers have honed through years of work – those we feel are good enough to “show off” to others.
At this Fito Show and Tell, we will explore how to bring people to the table, welcome and weave in meaningful ways, and maintain energy and commitment.
In specific, we will demonstrate how the Fito Network:
- 💥 Enables both light and deep engagement by mixing energy-building and play with our larger base, while curating deeper relationships and collaborative action with a core community
- 🕸 Carefully weaves diverse people across many activities in a way that helps groups “mesh” and gives people a sense of value for their engagement
- 🤝 Mixes relationship-building, co-learning, and collaborative action in a way that satisfies differing expectations, while not leaning too heavily on one or the other
- 🗝 Fosters a culture of commitment through constantly communicating and demonstrating ways of interacting with each other
Who is this event for?
Leaders and funders of networks, movements, and communities of practice that struggle with engaging their community members and stakeholders in their collaborative work.
What practical insights will I gain?
By joining this Show and Tell, you will discover ideas around how you can:
- Curate diverse activities corresponding to differing and changing needs, knowledge, time, and scheduling constraints of your community members
- Communicate well with your community in a way that manages expectations and builds a collective culture of engagement
- Reduce your own expectations – and better focus your energies where it matters
- Become more creative and playful in your offerings
