Partnership Brokers Training
July 9, 2019 @ 8:45 am – July 15, 2019 @ 5:00 pm
For the fourth year, and only time this year, we are bringing our ‘Partnership Brokers Training’ to Washington DC. We focus on supporting those who are working in new ways, bridging traditional boundaries to build multi-stakeholder collaboration, to create a more inclusive and sustainable world. We’d love to connect with you, if you find this is part of your work – whether or not you consider yourself a ‘partnership broker’.
We have offered this program across the world with more than 3000 people from government, UN-agencies, INGOs, private sector, community foundations and philanthropy, universities, collective impact initiatives and large networks and alliances such as the World Economic Forum, ICIMOD, the Start Network. In the US, government departments such as State Department, FEMA, Defence, Trade and Commerce, Health, USAID have all participated. (This year programs are in USA, Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland, Indonesia, Thailand, Africa, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Turkey, UK, New Zealand, Australia…)
With SDG17 positioning multi-actor partnerships as central to the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, this is now a must-have skillset. We offer this in DC as one of the seats of great power and influence for policy-makers, humanitarian and development actors and social innovators.
Moving beyond just understanding what makes partnerships, networks or alliances successful, partnership brokering is a new profession of people whose role is to catalyse, shape and build effective collaborative mechanisms, and ensure they are set up to succeed and create enduring impact. We are also spear-heading innovation in reviewing partnerships, to demonstrate results and added value.
This is far more than a typical training course. It offers the opportunity for personal reflection and insights as well as providing a vehicle for building a global movement seeking to influence decision-makers and impact systems in order to improve and scale multi-stakeholder partnerships and non-traditional collaboration worldwide.
We’d love you to join us, to grow this emerging profession, and join a global network of partnering professionals who share experience, evidence and insights and mobilise together to advance the role of multi-stakeholder collaboration.
“I have enjoyed a number of wonderful professional development opportunities throughout my career, but the Partnership Brokers Training is certainly at the top of that list! I believe the content, expert instruction, and inspiring colleagues form a magical product that is second to none!”Course graduate (Public health organisation, Canada)
