Webinar: Navigating Cultural Diversity in Pursuit of Collective Wellness
June 1, 2023 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
8:00 am – 9:30 am Pacific US
11:00 am – 12:30 pm Eastern US
5:00 pm – 6:30pm CET
Our ability to create and sustain individual and collective wellness is deeply connected to how we engage with the “other”. Whether these “others” are people, animals, or our physical environment.
Our ability to leverage the diversity and complexity that exists in the planet is a critical skill needed for anyone working in the space of systems change.
This webinar will focus on our relationship with other humans and in particular how our cultural values and backgrounds influence these interactions often in ways we often don’t realize. Through a series of highly interactive and introspective activities we will invite participants to reflect on their own culture and stories, as well as introduce a performance framework to help transcend the dominant narratives that often prevent us from connecting and tapping into our collective strengths.
By the end of the webinar participants will:
- Learn the importance of building mutual cultural understanding in connecting deeply with your stakeholders
- Reflect on how your identity, values, and beliefs impact how you show up in your professional life
- Explore a performance framework to help us engage with others in new, powerful ways
**There is no fee to participate in this special event. We invite you to make a donation to benefit the work of Global Play Brigade, a growing social movement of performance activism integrating and utilizing play, improv, clown, theater and therapeutics into everyday life as a vital methodology for creating hope, possibility, emotional well-being and development.
